Bishop of the Gusau Diocese (Anglican Communion), Rt. Rev. John Garba Danbinta has charged President Muhammadu Buhari to correct the ills of his first tenure by ensuring equitable distribution of political offices across ethnic and religious divides of the country.

He made the call yesterday during a second session of the 7th Synod of the diocese held at the Cathedral Church of Christ Gusau, the state capital.

He said, “I want politicians to know that nothing is permanent in life. In view of that, I am advising politicians to use their offices to promote freedom of worship, peace, justice and equity.

“President Buhari should tackle the issue of insecurity, poverty, hunger, disunity of Nigeria people, Fulani herdsmen, banditry, kidnapping and many acts of criminality in Nigeria.”

Bishop Danbinta also charged Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle of Zamfara to gear up to ensure end of armed banditry and stop the wanton killings and destruction of properties in Zamfara State.
