Carlo Ancelotti has admitted he would be interested in a return to Real.
The Italian was sacked as manager at the Santiago Bernabeu earlier this year, despite winning the La Decima for the La Liga side.
Rafa Benitez was hired as his replacement and the Spaniard’s future became the topic of intense speculation, following a 4-0 loss to Barcelona last Saturday.
Ancelotti says Madrid’s hierarchy should have patience with Benitez, but refused to rule out the possibility of managing Los Blancos again.
“Let’s be slow with our judgments because we are just at the beginning,” he told Radio RAI.
“The Madrid players have the ability to revive the situation.
“They suffered against a really strong Barcelona. But it’s difficult to judge Benitez from the outside.
“From watching the game, it seems they suffered most on the tactical level. Every coach has his own ideas and that’s good, for better or for worse, he takes them forward.”
