Carlo Ancelotti has begun negotiations with Bayern Munich, to succeed Pep Guardiola at the end of this season.
Guardiola is set to confirm that he will be leaving the Allianz Arena, after his current contract expires next year and is likely to become Manchester City’s next manager.
The announcement is expected to be made after Saturday’s game against Hannover.
Ancelotti has been out of work, since he was sacked as Real Madrid boss earlier this year, but is now the top contender for the Bayern job.
The Italian will sign a three-year deal with the Bundesliga champions.
