The Anambra State Government said collection of all forms of Internally Generated Revenue on roads, highways and streets across the state remain banned.

A release signed by the Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Uchenna Okafor, expressed disgust that some persons under the guise of Federal Government’s agencies were collecting illegal IGR on roads, highways and streets in Anambra State.

According to the release, government enforcement agencies have been mandated to arrest and prosecute any person or group collecting IGR on roads, highways and streets across the state.

The Commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Wealth Creation, Dr Christian Madubuko, had two weeks ago paraded three men suspected to be collecting revenues with fake receipts.
