Former Nigeria international, Emmanuel Amuneke, is set to commence his accumulated UEFA Pro Coaching Licence Refresher Course in Spain next week.
Amuneke was unable to participate in the programme, because of several national assignments. He was in charge of the U-17 Golden Eaglets, who won the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile ().
“I’m just back in Spain and by next week, I’ll start my UEFA Pro License refresher course here at the Spanish Football Federation Institute,” Amuneke told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“The rule here in Europe is that once you obtain your Pro Licence coaching badge, you are mandated to undergo refresher course every year.
“But mine has had to be delayed because of my involvement in the national team assignments, but now that the season is over, it is important for me to do it since it is a one-week programme”.
Amuneke also applauded the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), for organizing the recently concluded CAF/NFF B Licence Seminar in Abuja.
He added: “Knowledge is power. It was a wonderful experience. I must commend the NFF for that because it was so rewarding.
“It was a veritable opportunity for us to learn more and also update our knowledge of the game and the coaching job.”
