The Chairman of Nigeria Football Federation’s Technical and Development sub committee, Felix Anyansi, has insisted that Emmanuel Amuneke must not win the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile.
Anyasi stated that the NFF have not set a target for the Golden Eaglets coach and explained that it was all about developing players for the future.
“We are not putting pressure on Amuneke and his team to win the World Cup,” he told Complete Sports.
“All we want is to see the development of young players who would hopefully rise to become Super Eagles players.
“All we want from the coach is to produce good players and expose them at the World Cup, if they go ahead to win it, that will be a bonus to us but the objective is to raise talents for Nigeria”.
He, however, expressed optimism that the Dream Team VI and Super Falcons, will clinch gold medals at the All Africa Games in Congo.
