Head coach of Nigeria’s U-20 team, Emmanuel Amuneke, has sent home six more players, following the friendly match with Nigeria National League outfit, Supreme Court FC.
The Flying Eagles won the game 1-0 and Amuneke used the opportunity to further assess members of the squad, ahead of the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Burundi in Bujumbura.
Amuneke thanked the dropped players for their endurance during the screening and advised them to stay fit, as they may still be called upon in the near future.
One more player is expected to be dropped, to bring the number of players in camp to 30.
Nigeria takes on Burundi on May 22.
