Interim coach of the Super Eagles, Daniel Amokachi, has insisted that Stephen Keshi still calls the shots, even though he is yet to put pen to paper on his new contract.
Amokachi has been in charge of the national team for recent games, but revealed he is always speaking to Keshi about the structure of the team.
“He (Keshi) is the boss, he is in charge of the team. As the chief, you definitely have to call (him), this is what is going on and this is what it is. How did you see the game? And we break it down,” he said.
“He chips in one, two, three (things), that is normal. You cannot play football alone, it is not an island.”
When the former international was asked about the current status of the position of head coach, he replied: “I’m an interim coach and that question should go to the administrators.”
Amokachi was in charge of the team, as they drew 1-1 with South Africa on Sunday.
