The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, on Friday reacted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, appointment of President Muhammadu Buhari’s supposed niece, Amina Zakari as its head of collation center for the 2019 election.

But AYCF National President, Yerima Shettima, in an interview with DAILY POST, stated that the appointment of Zakari to the position was a clear indication that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government was determined to rig the forthcoming election.

Shettima insisted that Zakari is a blood relation of Buhari, stressing that both the president and the INEC official have not come out to deny public insinuations.

The AYCF national president also urged Nigerians to resist Buhari’s move to rig the election.

He said: “Amina Zakari is Buhari’s niece because both she and the president have never denied and her presence in INEC is a clear indication that the 2019 election has already been rigged.

“For her to be heading such a sensitive department shows pure rigging and Nigerians must insist and demand that she can’t be there.

“Nigerians must rise up and kick against her appointment because we do not expect anything less than a free and fair election.

“We are also saying that left at the mercy of our God and creator it is very clear that the President Buhari-led APC government is working to ensure that they rig the coming election against the collective interest of Nigerians. However, we must ensure we accept nothing less than a credible election.”
