Ameobi, Oduamadi, Nsofor lead Eagles attack against South Africa – See staring 11

Coach Stephen Keshi will hand Newcastle United striker, Shola Ameobi, his first start for Nigeria, as the Super Eagles take on South Africa on Wednesday evening.

The 31-year-old will be the focal point of attack and will be supported on both flanks by returnee Obinna Nsofor and FIFA Confederations Cup star, Nnamdi Oduamadi. John Ogu starts in the absencee of Mikel Obi, while Onazi Ogenyi and Sunday Mba will complete the midfield triumvirate.

Kenneth Omeruo misses out with shoulder injury, but Godfrey Oboabona will play.
