Cool FM’s On-Air Personality, OAP, born Ifedapo Oyerinde, popularly known as Freeze, has lambasted Nigerians opposing international celebrity socialite, Amber Rose, on her annual ‘Slut Walk’.
The controversial OAP said Nigerians are very judgmental and self-righteous, yet so hypocritical.
This is coming few days after the daughter of Victor Omololu Olunloyo – a former governor of Oyo State, Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo, slammed renowned Nigerian rapper, El Dee after he lashed out at Rose on her ‘Slut Walk’, calling her a whore .
The ‘Slut Walk’ is a transnational movement of protest marches calling for an end to rape culture.
Specifically, participants protest against explaining or excusing rape by referring to any aspect of a woman’s appearance, but Freeze, explaining why most Nigerians are against the idea, said it was because they do not read or understand what the concept stands for.
The outspoken media personality on his Instagram account @daddyfreeze, said, “Further proof that many Nigerians don’t read! They are standing against the Slutwalk, without schooling themselves on its meaning, or understanding what it stands for. We are so judgmental and self-righteous, yet so hypocritical.
“Now, this movement is to create awareness about rape. The way a child dresses doesn’t make a Paedophile, neither does the way a woman dress make a rapist. If you do not support the Slutwalk then you are supporting Rapists and Paedophiles.
“I’m behind Amber on this because I know a lady who was raped by a neigbor at 8; she was never the same again. The after effects messed up all her relationships and even her marriage and screwed up her mind.
“She became suspicious of men, was constantly searching for a father figure in every relationship, it destroyed her sex life etc.
“No woman should ever be raped, no child should ever be molested, let’s all support #SlutWalk.
