Head coach of Enugu Rangers, Imama Amapakabo, has expressed belief that the team can go on to win the Nigeria Professional Football League (NFPL) title this season.

Rangers came from behind to defeat Enyimba 2-1 on Sunday in a Week 9 fixture, thanks to goals from Bobby Clement and Chisom Egbuchulam.

Amapakabo says victory over the current league champions, has given them a huge psychological boost.

“I discussed with my players before the game how important it was for us to win against Enyimba,” he told SuperSport.

“That game against Enyimba was the game that was going to make us league champions.

“They scored first and we knew we had to dig deep because for us to emerge as league champions, we have to beat teams like Enyimba.”

Rangers are currently top of the NPFL with 17 points from nine matches.
