General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Musa Amadu, has confirmed that the country is yet to receive their 2014 World Cup prize money.

Some reports had claimed that FIFA will pay the sum of about $9million to the NFF this week, but Amadu has rubbished such stories.

“Our money is still with FIFA and it’s safe,” Amadu said.

“Listen, FIFA is like a bank for all its 209 associations. Every country has its own account and our money is in our account.”

The NFF will refund $3.8million, which was given to the federation as advance to the government. But it is understood that FIFA are not in a hurry to release the funds, as the crisis rocking the Glass House continues to rumble on.
