Two Federal High Court judges, Justice Agbadu James Fishim and Justice Uwani Abba yesterday honoured invitation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The senior judicial officers presented themselves before operatives at EFCC Lagos zonal office, Awolowo Road Ikoyi.

The anti-graft agencies had summoned some judges in the ongoing probe of alleged bribe-taking.

It was gathered that three other judges, Justices Mohammed Nasir Yunusa, Hyeladzira Ajiya Nganjiwa and Musa Haruna Kurya had earlier reported to the Commission on Monday 17th October 2016 and Tuesday 18th October 2016.

A source told Daily Trust that some of the judges, who were accompanied by their lawyers, have been cooperating with operatives.

“Meanwhile, Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, one of the invited judges, who was expected to show up at the Commission yesterday is yet to honour the invitation,” the source said.

Meanwhile, the Senate has mandated its Committee on Judiciary , Human Rights and Legal Matters to investigate the arrest of six judges by the Department of State Service (DSS).

This followed the request by the committee to invite the judges for clearer insight on the issue.
