Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Anthony Nwakaeme are the favourites to lead the attack of the Super Eagles of Nigeria against Algeria on Friday.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will file out against the Desert Foxes in an inconsequential Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier in Constantine, Algeria.
The Eagles will be without three of their regular forwards- Odion Ighalo, Moses Simon and Victor Moses due to injury.
Nigeria’s Franco-German coach, Gernot Rohr has been trying out attack combinations in training, but in the last two sessions he has worked extensively with the trio of Iwobi, Nwakaeme and Iheanacho.
Rohr will field Iwobi from the left side of attack, Nwakaeme operating from the left while Iheanacho will play as the main target man.
In Wednesday’s training session their combination led to two goals for their team.
