New coach of Algeria, Georges Leekens, has invited 18 foreign-based players for their 2018 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria next week.
Leicester City’s duo of Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani lead the way, as well as West Ham’s Sofiane Feghouli.
Others include Yacine Brahimi from FC Porto, Nabil Bentaleb of Schalke 04, as well as uncapped Bordeaux midfielder Adam Ounas, who recently switched his international allegiance from France.
Leekens named the squad on Tuesday, with a proviso to include five players from the domestic league after the country’s Super Cup.
The game is billed for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on November 12.
