Alexis Sanchez does not want to play for Arsenal again, after his deadline day move to Manchester City collapsed.

The 28-year-old was desperate to quit the Emirates this summer and both clubs agreed a £60million deal for the player.

However, the move fell through, after Arsenal failed to get a replacement for Sanchez.

It means the Chile attacker will stay with the Gunners for the last year of his contract, a reality that has left him furious.

Though it appears unlikely that he will carry out his threat and go on strike, Wenger and the Arsenal board now face a delicate few months of trying to appease their wantaway star man who is now more determined than ever to quit the club.

City are believed to be preparing another bid for Sanchez in January, when the winter transfer window open. Pep Guardiola is still keen on landing the player and this time will offer around half of the £60million for him.
