The Aladja Community Vigilante in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State on Saturday arrested a suspected armed robber, simply identified as Rume, along the Aladja-Isaba road in Aladja community, while the others escaped.
DAILY POST gathered that Rume, a member of a four-man gang and an indigene of Emadadja community, had allegedly been taking advantage
of a bad portion of the road to rob unsuspecting commuters in Aladja-Isaba road on daily basis. The vigilante quickly handed over the suspect to the Divisional Police
Headquarter in Ovwian, Udu Local Government Area. The Divisional Police Officer of Ovwian Divisional Headquarters, CSP Jonathan Acha could not be reached for comments on the matter but a senior police officer, who craved anonymity, hailed the Aladja Community
Community Vigilante for their bravery and gallantry just as he warned that there is no hiding place for criminals in the area.
