Aladja community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State today declared war against cultists and their groups with a threat to deal decisively with anyone caught in the unholy and criminal act within Aladja soil.
The community made the declaration at an internal-security meeting which held at the community’s town hall today.
President of Aladja Community Council, Mr. Elias Dogene who spoke at the meeting that was packed with elders, women, youths and the Aladja Community Vigilante group noted that the declaration became necessary due to the nefarious activities of cultists in the community.
Dogene stated that the cultists in time past had put the image of Aladja community in bad light before the general public with their series of clashes by rival groups, killings and robberies.
According to Dogene,”Before now, there is day that you will not witness cult clashes and killings even attacks and robbery. This has become too much and we take a stand with this declaration.”
Dogene advised the cultists to relocate from Aladja or be ready to face the music legally when the war fully starts.
Dogene also warned that the community will not listen to any parents whose child is caught in the act of cultism just as he enjoined them(parents) to properly train and guide their children against the act.
“Parents, forget it if any of your children are caught. Don’t even try to come forward and plead with us. We will not take it likely because we will deal with anyone who is caught legally. Don’t say we did not warn you. For you cultists, relocate for your own good because it’s war time.”
Dogene went further to mandate the Aladja community vigilante to continue its fight against criminal elements and cultism in their lands.
