Head coach of Al Ain, Zlatko Dalic has asked fans to be patient with Emmanuel Emenike, as he tries to fill the void left by Ghana striker, Asamoah Gyan.
The Super Eagles player moved to the Qatari club on a one-year loan deal, after a miserable campaign in Turkey, when he scored four times in 24 matches.
Emenike is yet to find the back of the net for Al Ain in their pre-season games, but Dalic remains confident that the 28-year-old will deliver.
“The new foreign players have begun to gel with the team very well; we have seen improvement in Emmanuel Emenike,” Dalic told the Al Ain website.
“I believe that the Nigerian, Dutchman (Babel) and Brazilian (Bastos) need more time with the team to give their best for the team.
“I am happy with the performances of the players and the team, but we are yet to reach our potential”.
Al Ain play Wydad Casablanca next in a friendly.
