Ondo State governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on Tuesday, forwarded a N169, 720,580, 000.00, 2017 budget to the state House of Assembly for approval.
The Assembly is expected to deliberate on the budget, which is the first of the Akeredolu-led administration.
Former Governor Olusegun Mimiko could not present the 2017 budget before he handed over to Akeredolu.
It was learnt that after deliberations, the assembly will invite the MDAs to defend the budgets after which the assembly will pass it into law.
The details of the budget are still sketchy as at the of filling this report, but it was, however, gathered that the total budget sum is put at N169, 720,580, 000.00.
The breakdown could still not be ascertained.
Sources in the government said Akeredolu can no longer present the budget in a ceremonious way as the state has only fifteen days for the budget time frame to lapse.
It was gathered that the budget was sent to the Assembly through the Permanent Secretary of the ministry of Budget and Economic panning.
