Aisha Yesufu, co-convener of BringBackOurGirls, BBOG, advocacy group, on Monday criticised Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo over his silence on issues threatening democracy in the country.

Aisha writing on her Twitter page called on Osinbajo to act rather than make speeches concerning issues being faced by Nigerians in the country.

The activist said this in reaction to the police clampdown on a peaceful protest organised by BBOG members at the Unity fountain, Abuja on Monday.

Aisha wrote, “Let’s remember the clampdown on Unity Fountain Abuja started when Vice President Yemi Osinbajo @ProfOsinbajo was acting President. He owns this shame. A professor of law for that matter. Power make them to crazy. Power that is so transient.

“Vice President, Prof Osinbajo can continue to play the ostrich. When his biography is read it would have a chapter on how he clamped down on the democratic space in Nigeria when he was acting President.

“He should continue with the nice speeches. Actions speak louder than words.”
