Aisha Yesufu, co-convener of Bring Back our Girls has queried Buhari-led government, Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara over silence regarding the gruesome attacks in Zamfara.
On Thursday, Zamfara police command confirmed 18 persons dead in a fresh attack by gunmen in Birane village in Zurmi Local Government Area of the state.
According to reports, the death toll has risen to 44.
Reacting to the development, Aisha said Zamfara indigenes have been suffering from recurrent attack for sometime now.
In a series of tweet, she urged Zamfara state government and federal government to take action and protect lives of Nigerians in Zamfara.
She wrote, “Zamfara people have over the years suffered vicious attacks and loss of lives and properties and yet there seem to be overwhelming silence from there.
“What’s going on? What’s the State Governor doing to protect his people? What is the Federal government doing?
