Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari has finally unveiled the much talked about new Nigeria in a gigantic art project tagged ‘Nigeria Rebirth.’
The event which held last Thursday and attended by prominent Nigerians including Ambassadors of many countries as well as captains of industry aimed to transform Nigeria through a rebirth which was symbolically represented in a masterpiece; a concept initiated by Comrade Isaac Balami’s Cabinet-X Africa and supported by the Federal Ministry of Arts and Culture. 36 artists from all states of the federation participated in the art project and were recognized at the event.
Aisha Buhari who was represented by the wife of the Vice President, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo assured the organizers of his commitment to a new Nigeria. she also thanked the group for making her the Grand Patron of the rebirth, saying the need for the National Rebirth had become necessary as the country was being faced with some challenges bequeathed it . According to Mrs Buhari, the project would bring about society free of corruption, nepotism and greed among other vices.
She said, “The new Nigeria will make the country great as well as bring hope and prosperity to the country as a whole and to Africa in general.
“It will bring joy to us and generation after generation. Indeed, we will not rest until every Nigerian can enjoy equal opportunities to their dreams, pursue and achieve greatness in various field of their endeavours as people.
“The project will remind us that there is a drop and depth of greatness in every Nigerian. We are not yet there until all hands are on deck. We will achieve the desired change we all desire.’’
She stated that African countries were looking up to Nigeria for positive change, affirming that once Nigeria attains a transformation, the entire continent would equally see a change.
“I am happy, youths are ready for the change mantra in the country and it is now left for them to actualise it.”
She thanked the project team led by Cabinet X Africa Initiative, 37 artistes from each state and other stakeholders for their contribution to actualizing the rebirth project.
In what many have termed speech of the 21st century, the President and Ceo of Cabinet-X Africa who is also the President, National Association of Aircraft and pilot Engineers, Comrade Isaac Balami propelled Nigerian youths into action, saying the future of the country lies in the hands of exceptional and dogged Nigerian youths.
Balami who stressed on the importance of the rebirth asserted that, ‘’the past and present challenges of our nation need to be confronted by the rebirthing of a new Nigeria so that our future can be reshaped.
He said that on the 22nd of June 2015, ‘’the idea of a more united and prosperous new Nigeria was initiated, leading to a conceptual depiction of a New Nigeria which is being expressed by the Nigeria Rebirth Art Piece, which is the biggest Unity Art Work in Africa.
He said the artwork lasted for 100 days, and was painted by 37 artists representing the 36 states of Nigeria and the FCT. He said, ‘’The Art Piece was initiated by the Cabinet X Africa Initiative and creatively drawn with the collaboration of Federal Ministry of Information and Culture and the National Gallery of Art.
He, however said that President Muhammadu Buhari will be the 38th artist to work on the gigantic masterpiece, stating that the effort is ‘’a new ideological framework that will transform and strengthen our homes, offices, schools, institutions and the nation as a whole and thereby enhancing our economic, socio-political, security and international outlook.
He said the project team would showcase the new Nigerian concept in 20 countries globally as well as going around the 36 states of the federation. The Coordinator said the tour would build unity among Nigerians and as well create positive impressions about Nigeria globally.
“The tour across the globe would restore hope and faith of Nigerians in Diaspora to bring back home their expertise and knowledge towards building the new Nigeria of our collective dream,’’ he said.
He affirmed that Balami said the touring of 36 states was to support the state governments to harmonise their areas of economic advantages and to raise awareness among Nigerians. He said after showcasing the new Nigeria to the world, the project would be handed over to President Muhammadu Buhari on Oct 1.

It is with great honor and privilege that I welcome you to this historic occasion, as the National Coordinator, on behalf of the management of the Nigeria Rebirth Art
Project to unveil the Nigeria Rebirth Art Piece. This project is an initiative of fellow patriotic Nigerians who are passionate about a new Nigeria that will be rebirthed through dedicated, innovative and intellectually sound projects in order to confront the negative impressions about Nigeria, nationally and globally.
The past and present challenges of our nation need to be confronted by the rebirthing of a new Nigeria so that our future can be reshaped. The Art symbolises our renewed commitment to nation building, emphasize the strength of our nation and release the potentials in our people so that Nigeria can fly again.
Nigeria Rebirth Project has enjoyed the Blessing of Mrs Aisha Muhammadu Buhari; Wife of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria who is THE GRAND PATRON of the Project. The Nigeria Rebirth Art project is not just an art piece; it’s a new ideological framework that will transform and strengthen our homes, offices, schools, institutions and the nation as a whole and thereby enhancing our economic, socio-political, security and international outlook.
In showcasing our new Nigeria as a leader in Africa, we shall embark on a G20-N36 Tour which is a concept of Nigerian Youth Diplomatic Mission to 20 strategic countries across the continents in addition to a tour across the 36 States of Nigeria and FCT. In the course of the tour, diverse strategic sessions and multi-stakeholders dialogue, bilateral agreements and public-private partnerships are geared towards implementing the Nigeria project. The tours are aimed at building unity amongst Nigerian nationals and creating positive impressions about Nigeria. The G20-N36 Tour is also a measure of restoring hope and faith of Nigerians in Diaspora to bring back home their expertise and knowledge towards building the New Nigeria of our collective dream.
Your Excellency, Ladies and Gentlemen, the Art Piece is thus intended to be the most travelled art work across The Globe and The Tour is powered in partnership with our major partner, SAHELIAN CENTRE, a group of passionate and powerful Nigerians with a goal to support the government and collaborate with all Nigerians in fulfilling the Nigerian Dream. The G20-N36 Tour will showcase the Nigeria Rebirth Art Piece both as a diplomatic and national orientation vehicle of a Nigerian Dream. The Nigerian 36 states tour is geared towards supporting the State Governments in harmonizing their Areas of Economic Advantages (AEA) and to raise awareness amongst the population in the individual states that a new Nigeria is here. At the end of the G20-N36 Tour just before the next Independence Day on 1st October 2016, the Rebirth Art Piece shall be handed over to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Your Excellency, Ladies and Gentlemen, to reiterate our mission for the new Nigerian Dream, which the Nigerian Rebirth Project symbolizes, is to appreciate the contributions of the past leaders of Nigeria while pledging to support the efforts of present and future Nigerian leaders.
I acknowledge that this Rebirth Project came into being because we are fortunate today to have a visionary leader who inspired us to dedicate our lives to the service of
our country irrespective of our leanings. We in the Nigerian Rebirth Project have pledge to use the art piece to promote the change that our country seriously needs. The art piece will be used to promote patriotism in the new Nigeria so that accountability, peace-making, selfless service, honesty and fairness will be our collective habits.
To this end, I urge all Nigerians irrespective of our religious or political affiliations, and friends of Nigeria to join hands and support our President Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to navigate the country to the promise land of our dreams.
