Aigbogun blames poor finishing for Enyimba’s defeat against Vipers

Head coach of Enyimba, Paul Aigbogun, has claimed his team failed to get anything from their game against Vipers Sports Club on Friday, because of poor finishing.

The Peoples’ Elephant were beaten 1-0 by the Ugandan club, in their CAF Champions League game.

Erisa Ssekisambu scored the winning goal in the 73rd minute of the game, played at the Nakivubo Stadium.

Aigbogun is however confident, that Enyimba can overturn the loss in the second leg of the tie.

“We should not have lost the game. We had enough chances to win,” Aigbogun told Enyimba’s official website.

“I believe we will advance to the next round.

“In the next game, we will have our full squad and play very differently from how we did today. It’s not over for us.

“Vipers have shown what they are capable of, scoring with a rare chance at goal. We too will show what we can do at home.”

The return leg will be played in two weeks in Port Harcourt.
