Lagos PDP governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje has said that his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode lacks requisite experience in governance.
Agbaje asserted that the local government system where Ambode worked for about twenty years is a mockery of government.
Agbaje reasoned that having been part of a failed system, for about two decades out of his 27 years experience in government, the APC candidate could be said to have experience deficit.

The PDP standard bearer blamed the poor condition of areas like Ajegunle and Makoko in Ajeromi-Ifelodun and Mainland local government areas on the parlous state of the local council system in Lagos State.
Agbaje said the ruling APC was responsible for failure of local government areas because it turned the institution into a political apparatus for advancing the interest of the party, rather than for development purposes.
Speaking in the areas on Friday, Agbaje regretted that several years after obtaining a $10billion loan for slum development, nothing had been done to change the face of slum areas in Lagos State.
He opined that it showed the deep hatred the APC had for the poor people in the state, despite available resources.
The candidate, however, promised to assuage the sufferings of the people by redressing the injustices done to them over the years.
Agbaje noted that this could only be actualized by voting out the APC and voting overwhelmingly for the PDP at all levels.
He appealed to the electorate to come out en-masse to vote for PDP candidates and also monitor their votes.
“Let me also charge those of you that have not collected your PVCs to do so at your registration centers. Also ensure that you wait behind so that your votes are not manipulated.
“If you do this, victory is assured”, Agbaje declared.
