Again, another 4-year-old child declared missing in Zuba

Just about a week after four children were declared missing in Zuba, FCT, another 4-year-old child has again been declared missing in the area.

A resident of the area, simply identified as Abdullahi, who gave the name of the child as Abba Auwal Baba, told reporters that the incident happened at about 4:00 p.m. yesterday.

According to Abdullahi, the child went out to play around the central mosque area after he returned from school but did not return home.

He said some residents around the central mosque said they saw a woman with the child, but did not suspect her of kidnapping.

“The parents of the missing child have reported the incident to the police and vigilantes,” he said.

The Sarkin Pada of the Agora of Zuba palace, Alhaji Muhammed Murtala, said he just received information about the missing child.

“But I will try to reach out to the parents of the missing child to get more details about the incident,” he said.

When contacted, The FCT police command spokesman, DSP Anjuguri Manzah confirmed the incident.

Manzah said that there was a report of a missing child at Zuba police division.

“The police are investigating the recurring incidents of missing children in the area,” he said.
