Sunday Mba, who struck a sublime volley, to hand Nigeria a 1-0 win over Burkina Faso, in the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations, has said it was a dream to score the winning goal and hopes his impressive showing at the tournament, will push his football career to the next level.
“I’m so happy it is a dream come true. I don’t know what to say. We really worked hard and we were looking forward to this day and I’m so happy for this,” he told British Eurosport
“It will go a long way towards my career. This is my first time and I’m very happy. We gave all that we had.”
Mba, who also scored the winning goal against Cote d’Ivoire, currently plays for Warri Wolves in Nigeria.
