Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong has identified the Algerian national team as the ‘most in-form team’ at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. AFCON.
The Udinese star stated this following Nigeria’s 2-1 victory over South Africa at the AFCON quarter-finals encounter on Wednesday night.
The 25-year-old, who scored the winning goal for Gernot Rohr’s side against Bafana Bafana following Samuel Chukwueze’s first-half goal, told SuperSport after the match: “Yes we will ready for either Algeria or Ivory Coast in the semi-final.
“We have played Algeria in the last few years before and we know what they are about. I think Algeria are the most in-form team in this year’s tournament.
“But I think if you want to win this AFCON, you have to beat the most in-form team.”
