The Super Eagles are eagerly looking forward to their Round of 16 clash against Cameroon, at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Nigeria will take on their West African rivals, after the group fixtures were concluded on Tuesday.

“And so it’s our neighbours @FecafootOfficie again. Battles between us have been interesting over the years and the most recent the Eagles were victorious over two legs.

“So we go again for the win. #soarsupereagles #team9jastrong #totalafcon2019,” read a tweet from the team’s official handle.

Cameroon defeated Nigeria in the AFCON finals in 1984, 1988 and 2000.

In 2004, Jay Jay Okocha spearheaded a sweet 2-1 defeat over the Indomitable Lions in a quarter-final match at the Stade Mustapha Ben Jannet in Monastir, Tunisia.

Enroute the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Nigeria thrashed Cameroon 4-0 in Uyo and were forced to a 1-1 draw in Yaounde.
