AFCON 2019: Madagascar in second place ahead of Super Eagles clash

Madagascar is now second in Group B, following a 1-0 win over Burundi on Thursday evening.

Nicolas Dupuis’ had drawn 2-2 in their opening fixture against Guinea last weekend.

However, it was tougher for them against fellow debutants, Burundi, as they struggled to find the back of the net.

Marco Ilaimaharitra eventually netted the winner in the 76th minute.

Madagascar will now take on Nigeria’s Super Eagles, in a battle for top place on Sunday.

Kick off is 5pm at the Alexandria Stadium.
