Former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu, has backed Gernot Rohr’s men to bounce back from Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Madagascar at the ongoing 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.
The Arsenal legend charged the Eagles to win their next match when they face the runners-up in Group F in the Round of 16 on Saturday.
“We win some, we lose some, but we know what we want, so let’s be united and go for the Cup. We look forward to the next game and together you all will win it. Unlucky for this game, but better one ahead. You all are champions, so we go down and we bounce back. Good luck in your next game,” Kanu posted on Twitter.
DAILY POST had reported that the Super Eagles on Sunday lost 2-0 to Madagascar in their final Group B fixture at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
