Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, had predicted a semi-final meeting with Algeria, even before a ball was kicked Thursday evening.

And in his opinion, the Desert Foxes are the best team at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria beat South Africa 2-1 to qualify for the last four, while the North Africans saw off Ivory Coast yesterday.

“At first we have to recover well because it was not easy, we avoided extra time. We don’t have any injuries.

“No suspension, no injury. We have to watch the game of Algeria, for the moment they are perhaps the best team in the tournament, so it will be a very big challenge to beat Algeria,” Rohr told reporters.

The game will be played on Sunday, July 12 at the Cairo International Stadium.
