Festus Keyamo, SAN, the Director of Strategic Communication of the Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organization in the last election, has hailed Nigeria’s Super Eagles for qualifying for the quarter-final stage of the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON 2019.
The Super Eagles defeated Cameroon 3-2 on Saturday, thanks to goals from Odion Ighalo (2) and Alex Iwobi (1).
Reacting, Keyamo said the team must now focus on how to win their next match.
He wrote on Twitter: “As we celebrate our incredible win against Cameroon in the Total African Cup of Nations, we must caution that the job is not yet done.
“We went to the tournament to lift the trophy and not just to beat old foe, Cameroon. The boys must focus on the next match & not be carried away.”
Also reacting, former lawmaker representing Bayelsa East in the upper legislative chamber, Senator Murray Ben-Bruce, wrote on Twitter: “Forever proud. Great play @NGSuperEagles. Congratulations on your quarterfinal qualification. #TotalAFCON2019 #NGACM.”
