The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has asked the Super Eagles to go all out for the AFCON trophy, as they take on the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire, in a quarter-final clash on Sunday.
The mega party congratulated the Nigerian team, on their qualification for the this stage of the tournament and said they were praying for them, to come back home with the ultimate prize.
“The PDP is proud of the Super Eagles and we commend them for qualifying for the quarter-finals,” Olisah Metuh, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, said in a statement on Saturday.
“We have been praying for them to get to the finals and win the trophy. So we charge the players to keep their eyes on the cup as they go into their next matches especially as they take on Cote D’ Ivoire on Sunday.”
PDP also asked Nigerians to continue to pray for the team, expressing hope in their ability to do the nation proud.
