Sunday Mba scored a sensational winning goal, as the Super Eagles of Nigeria, defeated Burkina Faso 1-0 to win the 2013 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The victory ended a 19-year wait for the continental trophy and Stephen Keshi became only the second man, to win the trophy as a player and as a coach.

Nigeria dominated early proceedings, but could not take their chances until five minutes before the break. Sunday Mba picked up a loose ball, juggled it over a defender’s head with his right foot and finished past a static goalkeeper with his left.

The Super Eagles went on to miss a host of other chances, even as Burkina Faso tried to fight back. But in the end, Nigeria had enough to claim their third Africa Cup of Nations trophy.
