Adoyi Ali: Boko Haram mutiny: There is God ooooh!

Our able and patriotic First Lady, acclaimed grandmother of the missing schoolgirls of Chibok said it all when she cried out over the shedding (sharing) of blood in Borno and other parts of the North, including the FCT-Abuja.

Whichever way one tries to look at the spontaneous drama put up by the First Lady, the truth remains that she sincerely, but dramatically expressed how expressively derailed she was over the continuous ‘sharing’ of ‘blood’ across the country. Blood ‘shared’ from Borno down to Abuja, the seat of Government calls for an interpolation, hence, we need to stop this blood ‘sharing’, else God will visit us discretely. I share in her blood ‘sharing’ mawkishness and in my hand is a placard bearing #bringbackourgirls.

However, I beg to rephrase the call for God’s intervention. It is imperative to restate that “there is Godooooh, the things we are doing, there is God! There is need to modify the First Lady’s beautiful but highly criticised statement over the missing Chibok girls to suit the purpose with which the statement was made. I think we lost the essence of the comical statement as we were overwhelmingly stunned by her choice of words and the manner with which it was conveyed with some tears believed to be crocodile’s by many. We need to ponder and even chorus her ‘sharing’ sentiment even as we go about with our campaign #bringbackourgirls, after all, English is a borrowed language. We necessarily must not look at her grammar flaws, but what she tried to convey.

What else will a First Lady say when even the Military she so trusted is beginning to display extreme weakness. A military that appears retarded, confused and ill-equipped calls for national concern, and it’s certain that the First Lady’s cry to God was equally a clarion call to her husband and the military that have allowed this continuous shedding of blood. Simply put, the treachery of the military is not good as there is Godoooh.

How on earth will 270 students be kidnapped from a local government the military knew was the ‘hotspot’ of Boko Haram operations? Why should anyone doubt Amnesty International when it said the Military was informed hours before the insurgents invaded the school? The cover up by the military that it was only informed about the operation after it had been carried out is hilariously ‘painful’ and disheartening. Suddenly, our military left Chibok that had suffered several attacks in the past. They could not even discern information to know which is true or false, they just work like zombies and headed for a place we do not know, as soon as they got the false information. The Army said its men left the area when they got some false alert about an operation that was being carried out by the sect members in another area. So, like ‘zombies’ and ‘morons’ they left with no soldiers on ground to watch over the area. They should tell that story to the Orufia birds, because there is Godooooh.

Then, the School principal, the matron of the school and a host of other officials were not on ground to tell the story of what actually transpired. They all left the school few hours before the invasion of the school, and we all think that God is sleeping? No! There is Godoooh. Some have said that the Nigerian Army that now relies more on the state government’s manageable funds for survival in Borno state knows more than meet the eye in the incident. Could it possibly be some sort of revolt against the government, or another way of blackmailing the government for failing to equip the military as expected? That the militants invaded the school with 12 trucks is no longer news, but shocking is how 12 trucks entered the community without questions, loaded over 270 students comfortably into their waiting trucks and zoomed into Sambisa forest. If actually a state of emergency was declared in Borno state, then we are yet to feel the impact. Soldiers are crying and revolting that they are not being taken care of. They want to leave Borno state for the fear of being killed.

Meanwhile, in those day, some of our soldiers struggled to go to Liberia for peace keeping operation just for the benefits attached to their mission. This justifies the sarcasm of the First Lady’s cry. God is truly watching as the government now plays politics with our lives. Today, Sambisa Forest is considered dreaded, yet we have one of the best ground troop in the world. How large is Sambisa that our military cannot bombard in a matter of hours? From where did the Boko Haram militants get all the armoured cars in their disposal? From which country did they get those cars and through which border did they smuggle them into the country? Where and how did they get all the guns and explosives? Mrs Jonathan knows that there is an ongoing conspiracy that is not too far from the corridor of power, hence her cry for her husband ” there is Godoooh!

Of course, Mrs Jonathan was well aware of the failed national security, and had to cry to God to cancel all evils planned against her husband. To many, the cry was really not for the missing schoolgirls, rather it was for her husband’s safety, since the army can no longer be trusted. She went ahead to say this with tears, ” You want to kill my husband! God will not allow you to do that.” She was actually not sure if the Nigerian Army was still there to protect her husband or to protect its pocket. Some have said that the Army would have loved to continue in the war, so their pockets will continue to grow fat by making endless demands from Shettima and other Northern leaders. Too bad, Junior officers of the Nigeria Army are as innocent as babies. They left their families in the hope that the Military was what it used to be, with no inkling that politicians have bought their oga-kpatakpata into politics. They have turned the battle field into avenue of enriching themselves, if not; just tell me why the army should take up guns against their own Commander. They were saturated with the pains of betrayal and sell-out.

The ideal question is how on earth did Nigerian troop of all troops allow all the impunity even with its strength and might? Something is definitely wrong somewhere. The same soldiers were sent for peace keeping in Liberia as ECOMOG soldiers. The same soldiers fought doggedly and selflessly in Darfur, Sierra Leone and a host of other countries. What has happened to them in their own domain? Our military might in Africa and in the world has pushed us into building on our policy of having Africa as the centre piece of our foreign policy. What becomes of Africa if we cannot fling Boko Haram out of the North? Today, Jonathan is seeking a second approval for the continuation of state of emergency in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe. One wonders why we need another extension when the essence of the past two declarations has failed woefully. A former Military leader once said that if terrorist operation in a country stretches more than 6 hours, then the leadership is behind it. It will be a very weighty allegation to say that the Federal government, the SSS, the Police, the military as well as those manning our borders know more than we don’t know, yet Nigerians are tired of watching security operatives parading suspects whom we will hear nothing about at the end of the day.

It appears we are in the dark, and probably sitting on a time bomb. At this juncture, I beg to say it slowly like the First Lady that there— is— Godooooh. The—- things—- we— are—- doing, there— is— Godoooh,— you want to kill all Nigerians; but God won’t let it happen. The—- blood you—– are—- sharing, there—- is Godoooh! Lolz
