CEO of Adidas, Herbert Hainer, has said that Manchester United’s style of football is not attractive, adding to the criticism of manager, Louis van Gaal.
The German sportswear company, signed the biggest shirt deal in football history with United, after they agreed a 10-year, £750million contract last year.
Although Adidas has made good sales, Hainer admitted that he wishes the team played better.
He told Suddeutsche Zeitung: “Business with Man United is going very well. We sell more shirts than expected.
“We are satisfied, even though the current playing style of Man United is not exactly what we want to see.”
United have only scored 12 times in their last 15 matches and are currently out of the top four in the Premier League. The Red Devils were also dumped out of the Champions League last month.
