Adekunbi returned as Ogun Speaker

Prince Suraj Adekunbi has been returned as Speaker of the Ogun State Assembly for another four years after Governor Ibikunle Amosun on Monday morning inaugurated the state’s 8th legislative Assembly.

Adekun who represents Yewa (Egbado) North 1 Constituency took his oath of office at exactly 10:33am.

DAILY POST recalls that during his tenure as Speaker of the 7th Assembly, a total of 44 bills were passed.

The new Speaker was nominated by Hon. Ojodu Olayiwola from Abeokuta North State Constituency.

This was unanimously supported by all members.

The Deputy Speaker is now Kunle Oluomo, a lawmaker from Ifo state Constituency.
