Adeboye: What is FG’s business with church GO’s? – Fani-Kayode

Former Aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, FFK, has taken a swipe at the Federal Government following the retirement of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

He condemned government’s interference with activities of churches.

His reaction comes after the FG released a new Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, FRCN, law moderating the activities of churches and its leaders, which forced Adeboye to step down as the overseer of the church in Nigeria.

The new law allows specifically limited tenure for General Overseers of churches to 20 years or 70 years of age.

According to FFK, the FRCN law is an attack on Nigerian churches.

On his Twitter handle@realFFK, he asked what business the FG has with churches.

“The law that says G.O’s of Churches who have been there for 20 years must go.

“It’s an attack on the Church.

“What is govt’s business with Churches?” he tweeted.
