Nigerian Gay activist, Bisi Alimi, has taken a swipe at the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye over his latest statement about social media relationships.
Recall that Adeboye had discouraged members of his church from engaging in romantic relationships on social media.
According to a tweet from @Rccghq, Adeboye reportedly made the statement during his sermon at the church’s headquarters at Redemption Camp.
He said, “Let me tell you clearly, if you get a wife through the Facebook, you will lose her through the Youtube. You can quote me.
“Any marriage that is concocted through the Facebook is going to crash through the Youtube, no doubt about that.”
However, Bisi Alimi, while disagreeing with the statement, urged Pastor Adeboye to stick to his calling as a preacher rather than delve into relationship counseling.
On his Instagram page @BisiAlimi, he wrote: “I personally think Pastor Adeboye should stick to cunning his congregation.
“Rather than becoming a relationship counselor.”
