Pastor E A Adeboye
General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has advised parents to avoid amassing ill-gotten wealth for their children but to teach them the values of hard work, honesty and integrity.
The cleric gave the charge at the special monthly prayer and thanksgiving service organised by the RCCG headquarters, Throne of Grace Parish, Ebutte-Metta, Lagos, titled: ‘The Beginning of Greatness’.
Adeboye noted that parents must not encourage mediocrity among their children or wards as boundless opportunities and possibilities exist for young people who are willing to work and burn the midnight candles instead of cutting corners.
He lamented that the nation has a predominant number of youths who want to eat without any dint of hard work, stressing that this has led to the increase in the number of jobless and unemployable youths across the country.
The event which was organised recently attracted thousands of youths from across the country and featured song rendition, drama, bible teachings and prophetic ministration.
