The governor of Adamawa State, Mr. Bala Ngilari has said that the people of Adamawa State were happy with the turn of events in the state, especially the delivery of justice in his case. He has also described the political atmosphere in the state as stable.
Gov. Ngilari spoke with journalists on Sunday at the State House, Abuja after a late night meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan alongside other PDP governors.
“The political situation in Adamawa is very stable, I can assure you, the people are very happy.
“You know, the common man appreciates when justice is done at all times. They are very happy; you can do your independent verification.
“All the reported noise in some quarters that heavens will fall because of my swearing-in, nothing like that has happened.
“I thank the people of Adamawa for their massive support and we promise to keep faith with them,’’ Ngilari told reporters.
Dismissing insinuations that the state legislatures may also come after him as it did to former governor, Murtala Nyako, the governor said the executive and legislative arms of government in the state were not at loggerheads and that all arms of government are working harmoniously in the state.
Ngilari, who contested his resignation in court after the impeachment of his boss, was sworn in as governor on the 8th of October after a Federal High Court, Abuja declared the purported resignation null and void.
