Ahead of the October 11 governorship bye-election in Adamawa state, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Friday granted waiver to erstwhile Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu and former Military Administrator of Lagos and Borno states, Buba Marwa.
One time governorship candidate on the platform of the now rested Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Markus Gundiri, was also granted waiver.
The party’s Spokesperson, Olisa Metuh, made this known to newsmen on Friday at the National Secretariat of the party.
The trio had earlier submitted their application for waiver to the National Working Committee, NWC of the party.
The NWC had also forwarded the requests to a sub-committee under the leadership of the National Organising Secretary, Abubakar Mustapha.
