A former marketing officer of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Idris Adama, has slammed current president, Amaju Pinnick, for claiming the federation is too broke to fly the Super Eagles to Zambia for Sunday’s 2018 World Cup qualifier.

On Tuesday, Pinnick told the Senate Sports Committee, that they are yet to pay for the team’s chartered flight and hotel in Ndola, because of financial constraints.

Adama, in his reaction, claimed that it is fraudulent for such things to be said.

He revealed that there was much money in a joint account the NFF had with its marketing agent, Pamodzi, which he insisted was enough to write off the bills.

“Several of the sponsors have paid up. Emzor Paracetemol and Globacom have all paid and there is $1 million from Supersport with the NFF marketing agent, who only needs to take his 20% commission, and pay the balance to the NFF,” Adama told Hot FM Abuja.

Adama also revealed that he generated N1.4 billion annually for the NFF during his time there, before he was eased out by Pinnick.
