It was a show of shame recently at the secretariat of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) Ondo State chapter along Ilesha road, Akure during the thank you party organized by candidate of the party,Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu in the last gubernatorial election in Ondo State.
The event took a dramatic turn when angry members of the party attacked the Director of Planning and Mobilization of the party, Tayo Alasoadura for reportedly refusing to share money and other gift-items he collected from the leadership of the party during the governorship election in the state.
They also accused the former commissioner of keeping the huge amount he collected from ACN leaders, including a national leader and former Governor of Lagos, Bola Tinubu.
in this regards, the leadership of ACN berated Alasoadura for failing to disburse enough money to all the eighteen local government areas of the state.
It was gathered that the irate members had silently planned the attack before the event started.
As soon as the party chieftain alighted from his car, some aggrieved members confronted him, calling him all sorts of names.
They openly blamed him for the party’s failure in the October 20 gubernatorial election in the state where Governor Olusegun Mimiko emerged winner.
Some angry youth were throwing pure water sachets to the direction of the famous politician.
They accused Alasoadura of confiscating the over seventy motorcycles given to him to deliver to all wards leaders. The party members also alleged that over N1 billion given to him by the party leadership meant for election mobilization was alleged to have been misappropriated.
When the war was getting out of hands, Rotimi Akeredolu had to abandoned his meeting to appeal to them.
It was gathered that Alasoadura, Director of Planning and Mobilization escaped being lynched by sneaking out through the back door when Akeredolu left the scene.
