ACF faults Akande, Falana over comments on Buhari’s health

Arewa Consultative Forum, on Tuesday, slammed founding National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Bisi Akande, and other Nigerians for their ‘unhealthy’ comments over President Muhammadu Buhari’s health.

On Monday, Akande raised the alarm over the President’s worsening health condition and urged Nigerians to pray fervently for President Muhammadu Buhari’s recovery.

Similarly, a Lagos lawyer, Femi Falana, asked Buhari to step aside in order to receive adequate medical attention.

But National Publicity Secretary of the Forum, Muhammadu Ibrahim, said in a statement in Kaduna, that the fears and concerns over the president’s health were unnecessary and uncalled for.

According to the ACF, what Nigerians need to do now is to pray for the good health of the President.

The Forum expressed concern over what it described as “unnecessary” remarks pertaining to the health of the president.

The statement read, “Arewa Consultative Forum has observed with concern that some individuals are carelessly making unnecessary remarks pertaining to the health of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“What Nigerians need to do now is to pray for his good health and not to speculate or draw conclusions which will do no one any good.

“ACF advises Nigerians to please pray for the improvement of Mr. President’s health so that he can serve the Nation with more vigour.”
