The Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, has announced that the nation’s capital will experience water shortage this weekend.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the FCT Minister, Mohammed Sule.

The release noted that the seizure will be from Friday, February 15 to Sunday, February 17.

FCTA said the development is as a result of cross connection of Phases III & IV to the existing Phases I & II Water Treatment Plants at the Lower Usuma Dam, Abuja.

It advised residents to store enough water that will last them for the period.

The statement appealed for understanding on the part of the consumers, saying the three-day disruption was to ensure improved water supply in Abuja.
