The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, have revealed that there will be power outage at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja, between 10am and 10.30pm on Sunday.
The agency, in a statement, explained that “the proposed interruption on March 10 is to allow the agency to improve on power supply at the airport.”
Yakubu Dati, the agency’s spokesman, said that the blackout was to allow engineers switch over to a new and improved power supply to the airport.
“It is expected that the new source of power supply will drastically reduce the incidents of power outage and thereby enhance service delivery at the airport. The power improvement project, which is taking place simultaneously in major airports across the country, is designed by the Federal Government to improve power supply to all airports,” it added.
