Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC of Ilorin, on Wednesday defeated Gateway United of Abeokuta 4-1 in a replayed Nigeria National League (NNL) fixture, to pick the last promotion ticket for the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
They had initially been awarded a walkover decision last week, after Gateway refused to honour the game citing lack of adequate security .
The Organizing and Disciplinary Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), ordered for a replay and fined the Abeokuta team N1million .
ABS opened scoring through Ajibola Otegbeye in the first half, but had to wait until the 70th minute for their second goal.
Ibrahim Abdullahi made it three for ABS in the 79th minute, before Bala Yahuza reduced the deficit in the 80th minute for the visitors.
However, Mohammed Mohammed completed the victory in the final moments of the encounter.
ABS finished top of the group with 24 points ahead of Bayelsa United, who finished the campaign with 23 points.
